Table Re-Clothing
Complete removal and replacement of worn or damaged cloth on the bed and rails. The new baize is fitted with correct stretch and nap direction, then secured cleanly to avoid ripples, drift, or dead spots. Rail cloth is cut and finished so the table rolls true, holds its line, and responds consistently across the full surface. Often paired with tuning work while the table is stripped.
Precision Tuning
Set the table up so it plays properly. Slate is levelled and seams are filled so balls track straight without deviation. Cushions and rubbers are checked and replaced where needed, and rails are adjusted for consistent rebound. Pockets are set to accept balls cleanly rather than rattle or reject, so the table plays fair and predictable. Best done during a re-cloth when full access is available.
Table Maintenance
Regular servicing can be provided to keep the table playing as it should. Includes checking level, inspecting cloth wear, testing cushion response, and making small adjustments before issues build up. We can run playability checks (ball roll and rail consistency), giving you a clear picture of performance. Minor timber and structural repairs can also be carried out where needed upon inspection.

We’re Josh and Daniel. Lifelong cue sports players and the team behind The Break Builders.
Between us, we’ve spent years around snooker and pool tables, from local comps to regular players across Sydney and the Illawarra. We know how frustrating it is when a table doesn’t play the way it should, because we’ve been on the wrong end of it ourselves.
That’s a big part of why we started this.
Daniel brings a background in mechanical engineering and a sharp eye for precision, while Josh, originally a high-school teacher, comes from hands-on carpentry and handyman skills, with experience in flooring, structural work, and fine detail finishes. Together, we focus on what matters most.
